Five friends and myself, from Dundee, were organising our trip to Glasgow for The Prodigy show at the SECC and were on the lookout for a club to go to afterwards. Karbon stood out as the place to be as it was a tuesday night and they boasted a saturday night crowd on a tuesday. They also mentioned the fact that the DJ, who plays live with Dizzy Rascal , who was supporting The Prodigy, was doing a set. It seemed to us to be the perfect club for after the gig. We applied for VIP tickets and were delighted to recieve them. They were apparently for cheaper entry and q-jump. Everything was going to plan, until we got there.
We were refused entry due to dress code??? Now we were all dressed casually, but due to the fact we were at a gig prior, our white trainers weren't so white. Big deal. Why tie your night in with the Prodigy gig by announcing DJ's who were performing and then refuse entry to those coming from the very gig you are using to boost your club night? And why, considering we'd got VIP tickets online, was there no mention of dress code on the confirmation emails they sent us. I'd never go back to Karbon where they seem to have a smug, uncaring attitude towards their clientele. As well as being slightly dissapointed it was just as bad an advert for Glasgow clubs as it was for Karbon. Having previously been to, and thoroughly enjoyed both the Arches and the Sub Club i expected more of Karbon.

right then folks never been to this club in my life but found this on google. im am a sia licenced DOOR SUPERVISOR yes a bouncer and im a 19yr old woman who has been working on the doors since i turned 18 and for the last 6months me and my partner have set up are own company and supplying doorman over fife and edinburgh. it is a door supervisor's job to turn people away who dont fit the dress code or may seem too drunk, we dont have to give you a reason why we are knocking you back. as for the drugs getting in clubs at my clubs we have a random stop and search but if the customer is not willing to be search infront of a camera then we have no right to search you, also woman are the worst for bringing in drugs as many clubs/pubs do not have female supervisors to search females. i think all of you who are slagging bouncers off need to get a grip we are employed to do a job that has little rewards and can be very dangerous in the line of protecting you as a customer and the club you like to go and have a good time in, so when you save we need to get a life you lot are the ones that need to get a life. we have to go through months of training and exams to get are licences and show we know what were doing, so you people that think were doing a rubbish job, you step into are shoes and think if you could put up with the rubbish that comes to a door and see if you could handle it!!! to the other folk that think we do a good job cheers!

Been once, nice enough looking place 2 rooms and a lounge so enough space that there will probably be something tolerable to listen to. the drink prices are pretty much the same as anywhere else. Main complaint is on the saturday i went it was far to busy. Couldn't get near the bar, and it is a bit of a meat-market,lots of flesh on show and loud mouthed girls bleating every time you try and move. Don't really see what all the hype is about but i've had worse nights out, will maybe try one of the weekday nights in the hope its less busy.
